Easy and Effective Immune Boosts

I am excited to report that I have successfully boosted my immune system this Winter, enough to stay healthy when others around me aren’t. I have been taking Elderberry Extract every day as a quick herbal immune boost. Science has demonstrated that Elderberry coats cells, so viruses cannot latch on. My wonderful colleague Atava Garcia Sweicicki, is a Clinical Herbalist who makes her own Elderberry Cordial. Atava says that "Daily consumption of Elderberry Cordial can help prevent both flus and the common cold."  Visit her website at ancestralapothecary.com to purchase online. Hers tastes much better than what you will buy at your favorite health food store.

An easy Jin Shin Jyutsu® immune booster is to hold safety energy lock 3, which is the area just off the inner edge of the scapula (shoulder blade.) Reach safety energy lock 3 by placing a hand over the shoulder, near the neck, with the fingers facing the back between the shoulder blade and the spine. Hold this position for a few moments, or for as long as comfortable. Repeat with  the other shoulder blade.

For a stronger immune boost, hold that area near the shoulder blade with one hand, and with the other hand, make a circle by placing the pad of the thumb over the fingernail of each finger, one by one. Again, hold each for a few moments or minutes.

With the dry indoor air, staying hydrated can be challenging. Remember that water flushes the body of toxins. So water is even more important during Winter when viruses and bacteria abound and flourish. Fill a large container in the morning and check it in the evening to be sure you are drinking enough water each day.
