Relaxation & Emotional Balancing

CV17  Sea of Tranquility 
Place fingertips vertically along the center of breastbone. Sit comfortably focusing on your breath. Exhale fully then breathe deeply into your belly allowing the breath to fill your entire chest. Exhale fully and repeat. Aim to make your exhalations and inhalations the same length. Visualize yourself breathing out tension and breathing in new energy. Continue for 2 or 3 minutes or until you feel an even pulsation under your fingertips.

Revitalizing, Energizing 

B23  B47  Sea of Vitality 
Make loose fists and use the backs or sides of hands to rub the soft part of the back above the waist. Open hands and rub the same area briskly. (If your back is weak or injured, just place hands lightly on soft part of the back above the waist. Exhale and inhale deeply. Hold until you feel an even pulsation.)

Relieve Nausea

Place your thumb on forearm between the tendons, perpendicular to the center of the wrist crease. Use your thumb to cover the area from 2 to 3 finger widths from wrist crease. Hold fingers on top of arm directly behind thumb and apply pressure as you inhale and exhale deeply. Hold until you feel an even pulsation.

The ‘aspirin’ of acupressure. Brings energy down. [Forbidden for pregnant women until labor begins.] Press your thumb into the muscles in the webbing between the  thumb and index finger. Direct the pressure towards the bone that connects with the index finger. Inhale and exhale deeply as you apply pressure. Hold until you feel an even pulsation.
